Karen’s work with The Hunger Project Australia
Karen has been an integral member of The Hunger Project Australia community for over the past 7 years.
She invests financially in The Hunger Project’s work as a ‘Global Investor’, and also invests her time and expertise as a member of the NSW Advisory Board and a facilitator on leadership immersion programs.
As an Advisory Board member, Karen contributes to the strategic thinking, planning and decision-making by the CEO and Senior Leadership Team of The Hunger Project Australia. She also leverages her connections to grow The Hunger Project’s reach in Australia and overseas.
Karen was the person who originally brought together CBA and The Hunger Project Australia to create the corporate leadership immersion program. Since then, Karen has facilitated immersion programs for The Hunger Project Australia in India and Africa, for corporate groups and individuals to explore their own leadership potential through the lens of The Hunger Project’s work with people living in hunger and poverty.

We engaged Karen to facilitate our Business Chicks x The Hunger Project Leadership Immersion to Senegal. I specifically wanted Karen for this program as she is extremely skilled in building connection and rapport amongst a group very fast through her unique blend of warmth, humour, heart and head connection. No one cares more deeply than Karen and she is so invested in getting an outcome for everyone. She also commits to everything she does in a very meaningful way, so her engagement goes on long after the experience has ended.
